How do I create an account?
Download the app and tap Sign Up on the welcome screen. You can register with your email address and a password. Once registered, you will be asked to complete your profile with your display name and a short bio.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
On the login screen, tap Forgot Password? and enter your email address. You will receive a password-reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it does not arrive. If you are still unable to log in, contact us at support@stayingstrongandhealthy.com.
How do I delete my account and data?
To permanently delete your account and all associated data, please email support@stayingstrongandhealthy.com with the subject line "Delete My Account" and the email address associated with your account. All personal data, health logs, and community posts will be permanently erased within 30 days.
How do I connect the app to Apple Health?
When you first open the app, a permission sheet will appear asking for access to Apple Health data. Tap Allow All or select the specific categories you want to share.

If you missed this prompt or want to change permissions later:
  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security → Health.
  3. Tap Staying Strong & Healthy.
  4. Enable the categories you want to share (Steps, Heart Rate, Active Energy, Weight).
My health metrics (steps, heart rate, calories) are not showing up.
This is usually a permissions issue. Please follow these steps:
  1. Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Staying Strong & Healthy.
  2. Make sure Steps, Active Energy Burned, Heart Rate, and Weight are all turned on.
  3. Return to the app and pull down to refresh the home screen.
Note: Heart rate and active calories data requires an Apple Watch or another compatible device that records these metrics to Apple Health. Steps data is recorded automatically by iPhone.
My workout sessions are not syncing from Apple Health.
The app reads workouts recorded in Apple Health from the past 7 days. To sync:
  1. Ensure Workouts permission is enabled in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Staying Strong & Healthy.
  2. Pull down on the home screen to trigger a manual sync.
  3. Synced workouts appear in the ADT Weekly Goals progress rings at the top of the home screen.
Only workouts recorded in the past 7 days are synced. Older workouts are not imported.
What are the ADT Weekly Goals and how are they calculated?
The four weekly goals are based on exercise recommendations specifically designed for men on Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT):
  • Resistance Sessions (goal: 3): Strength training, weightlifting, pilates, rowing, and similar activities.
  • Aerobic Minutes (goal: 150 min): Walking, running, cycling, swimming, HIIT, and most cardio activities.
  • Bone Health Sessions (goal: 2): Weight-bearing activities like hiking, dancing, tennis, pickleball, Tai Chi, and stair climbing.
  • Mindfulness Minutes (goal: 60 min): Completed from the Mindfulness tab inside the app.
Progress resets every Monday and is synced automatically from Apple Health or logged manually.
How do I log a workout manually?
Open the Exercise Library tab (the dumbbell icon in the bottom navigation), browse or search for an exercise, and tap Log This Exercise. Enter the duration and save. The session will count toward your weekly goal immediately.
How does the daily energy check-in work?
Each day, tap the Daily Check-in button on the home screen and rate your energy level from 1 (very low) to 5 (great). This builds a rolling 7-day average shown in the 7-Day Avg Energy ring and helps you track how your energy levels change over time.
How do I log my symptoms?
Scroll down on the home screen to find the Symptom Tracker card. Tap it to rate common ADT-related symptoms (such as fatigue, hot flashes, and mood) on a scale. Tap Save Today's Log when you are done. You can log symptoms once per day.
Is the community chat private?
Community posts are visible to all registered users of the app. Direct messages are private between the two participants only. You can block any user by visiting their profile and tapping Block User — blocked users will no longer see your posts and you will not see theirs.
How do I report inappropriate content or a user?
Tap and hold on any message in the community chat to see reporting options. To report a user, visit their profile and use the report option. You can also email us directly at support@stayingstrongandhealthy.com and we will investigate within 48 hours.
The app is crashing or not loading. What should I try?
Please try these steps in order:
  1. Force-close the app and reopen it.
  2. Check your internet connection.
  3. Restart your iPhone.
  4. Delete and reinstall the app (your account data is stored securely in the cloud and will not be lost).
  5. Make sure your iPhone is running iOS 16 or later.
If the issue persists, email us at support@stayingstrongandhealthy.com with a description of what happened and your iPhone model.
What iOS version does the app require?
Staying Strong & Healthy requires iOS 16.0 or later. For the best experience, we recommend running the latest version of iOS available for your device.
